Indiana Jones

Is really, really bad.... Just trying to set expectations to the right level :)

I had read some really bad reviews, so my expectations weren't high, but my god did it fail to reach even those lofty heights... A computer game turned into a movie with implausibilities everywhere. Others I went to see it with liked it mind you, but they seem to remember previous indy movies to be equally stupid... I think its how I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movie cause I thought the first one was pretty ridiculous anyway.

Anyway there you go. You have been warned :)

I thought it was great. I've watched both Temple of Doom (which really is awful), and Last Crusade recently, and this one was perfectly in line with them.

I liked it, but yeah, it did take a little bit of mental restructuring first. Most of the dialog was pretty cheesy, and the plot seemed shakey at best. But I think it delivered most of the thrills and nostalgia that Indy fans would ask for... no? I don't know. I had a lot of fun, so I don't want to grumble too much. But still I'd rank it as the worst of the series.

If you had never seen Raiders, and you were 12 years old, and that was your first introduction to that particular universe I reckon that KotCS would be right up there as your best movie of the year.

Sadly we have to face it, we're not 12 anymore. We're never going to see Indiana Jones for the first time again.

There was only one part I really hated, the monkeys and the Tarzan bit.

It was an excellent homage to 1950's B movies, aliens and commies all the way. 7.5/10 for what it was.
